MU Once Again Ranks High Among Germany's Top Recruitment Firms

MU has once again proven its strength in the industry, securing a top position in a new ranking of Germany's best recruitment consultancies. With a strong index score of 127, this recognition aligns with earlier indicators of MU's strong brand awareness and unwavering commitment to delivering proven and tested recruitment services to our clients.

The high ranking continues to place us among the top executive search firms and well-known recruitment service providers in Germany. This result reaffirms our leadership in providing expert services across diverse practices, underscoring the trust clients place in us.

This latest study was conducted by Innofact on behalf of the SZ Institute, to identify the best HR consultancies in Germany. The study was based on the list of the most important HR consultancies from Listenchampions. A total of 177 HR consultancies were evaluated by a surveyed B2B target group based on various core criteria.

The survey, which took place from April 15 to 25, 2024, was aimed at an exclusive target group of professionals aged 18 and over in middle and upper management who make key decisions or at least have a key role in deciding on the use and commissioning of HR consultancies. The survey was conducted online using CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviews), which ensured efficient collection of qualitative data. The total population of this study was 2,000 respondents.

"Of the 177 HR consultancies tested, around 46% achieved an above-average index score," explains Martin Smets, Unit Director of Innofact AG. Smets sees a clear trend in terms of the evaluation of HR consultancies: "Competence in the form of technical expertise and industry experience was a criterion of great importance for those surveyed when evaluating HR consultancies. The variety of methods, on the other hand, plays a rather subordinate role."

A central component of the study was assessing awareness of the HR consultancies and analyzing selected core criteria. Each participant was initially given a random selection of 50 HR consultancies from the total set to test their awareness. A maximum of 10 of the well-known HR consultancies were then assessed in detail concerning various core criteria. These criteria included key aspects such as competence, customer orientation, variety of methods, network, confidentiality and communication skills.

The evaluation was based on top-2 percentage values, with participants being able to choose between "fully applies" and "somewhat applies". The weighting of the individual criteria was determined by the participants distributing 100% across the various aspects. This approach made it possible to comprehensively take into account the various dimensions of the performance of personnel consultancies and thus generate a meaningful overall picture.

Another crucial step in the analysis was the integration of the level of awareness of each HR consultancy into the overall result. This factor was incorporated into the final evaluation via an additional weighting factor to ensure a balanced evaluation.  The final evaluation is presented in the form of an index. The most outstanding HR consultants achieved an index value of at least 100 and were awarded accordingly.
