John joined Mercuri Urval over 30 years ago and is London-based. He works very closely with a number of Executives and their firms to ensure that they appoint and develop the right leaders and build winning teams to drive their businesses forward. He has worked extensively across many sectors, but his most recent focus has been in Technology & Science, Energy & Engineering and Construction.
John has held a range of leadership roles within Mercuri Urval, including responsibility for the global Board & Executive Practice.Within his diverse experience, he has led business functions, managed departments, led global accounts, worked with Aid organisations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, sat on School Boards, chaired a not-for-profit company and coached sports teams.
John is a graduate of Nottingham and Durham Universities. He has authored/co-authored three books - "Leaders' Map: helping doers think and thinkers do", "Leaders' Journal 40 days of self-coaching" and "Best Advice: 40 leadership tips from 40 leaders". "Best Advice" was a celebration of Mercuri Urval's 40 years in the UK.
