MU is proud to announce that we have been recognised as Finland's largest Executive Search firm, as highlighted in a recent publication by the Finnish business paper Talouselämä. This recognition underscores our position not only ahead of large international companies but also local boutique firms.
Talouseläma also published an article that examines the recent trend of new CEO appointments among companies listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and the role of executive search firms, also known as headhunters, in these recruitments.
Despite economic challenges impacting the executive search industry, which have resulted in some fluctuations in turnover and profitability, headhunters remain central in most CEO searches. The article acknowledges the substantial fees associated with these services, often linked to the CEO's salary, reflecting the high level of responsibility and expertise that headhunters bring to the table.
A key topic of the article was the growing emphasis on diversity within recruitment processes. Executive search companies that responded to Talouselämä's inquiry indicated a heightened focus on diversity-related issues in recent years.
Esko Oja, Partner & Team Director responsible for MU's Finnish business operations, commented on this trend:
"Clients' awareness and focus on diversity has increased, but the situations and development stage of organisations vary greatly. However, recruitment cannot be based solely on diversity or representativeness, but that what matters together with the client for a tailored success profile is crucial.”
In 2023, MU was also named the best-known Executive Search company in Finland in a study conducted by FEX Suorahakuyritykset Ry (Association of Executive Search Companies in Finland), reflecting our reputation among customers in the industry.
We are very proud of these recognitions. Our experts ensure clients receive reliable leadership advice, driving results and sustainable success. We sincerely thank our clients for their continued trust.
