Dr. Volker Löffler, Group Director in our Munich office, returned to Mercuri Urval in 2020 after already having worked very successfully for our company from 2001 to 2012. He focuses on Executive Search and Leadership Advisory. With a focus on Life Science/ Medtech/ Healthcare sector as well as General Industry, Volker helps national and international SME clients as well as large corporations and groups, in filling management positions up to managerial/ C- and Board level. In the area of management diagnostics, he carried out numerous assessments and management audits in the course of supporting placement and development decisions.
Volker has ~ 25 years of professional and management experience, 16 years of which in consulting and 8 years in various functions in the pharmaceutical/ healthcare sector. Amongst other things, before returning to Mercuri Urval, he spent ~ 5 years in a top international HR consultancy and 4 years with a globally leading service provider in the field of medical diagnostics in national sales responsibility.
Volker studied at the Julius Maximilians University of Wuerzburg and at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA, holding a PhD degree in human medicine. During his doctoral thesis in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Volker Löffler conducted basic research in the field of bone growth factors.
Volker is married and has two young children. If his family and work permit, he is passionate about doing endurance sports.
