He started at Mercuri Urval in 2008. He has extensive (international) experience and is the Team Director of the Belgian organisation. His speciality is Talent & Leadership Advisory across different sectors. In Executive Search, his focus is on semi- and non-profit and the services sector. He focuses mainly on people and leader development, leadership, and (management) team development. He facilitates management teams and boards and leads HR workshops and training courses on topics such as HR, leadership, professional conduct, and many other (senior) management topics. Wout has extensive experience in audits on corporate governance and leadership.
He started his career as a History lecturer. Afterwards, he worked for 15 years in Project and Business Management, both as Key Account and General Management in B2B companies and associations, mainly in the service sector.
He is a lecturer at Hasselt University (Business HR in the Postgraduate Management Programme) and at Guberna (Association of Board Members) on the topic of ‘HR on Board level’ (the strategic HR questions).
He holds a master’s degree in modern history and in International Relations and holds a Postgraduate in Business Administration (Catholic University Leuven and University Hasselt). He has a Master's Academic Teacher Degree as well and he is a certificated Board Member. He is also a much sought-after speaker.
