WITH MU, OUR METHOD REALLY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IN THIS CASE, A PROVEN COMPANY (OPERATING OVER TEN YEARS) ENLISTED OUR SERVICES TO HELP BOLSTER THEIR MANAGEMENT TEAM. THIS WAS A VERY CRITICAL, DELICATE PROJECT; THEY WANTED A MANAGER COMING FROM THE MOTIVATIONAL SIDE OF AN ORGANISATION TO BRING A STRUCTURED, PRODUCTIVE APPROACH.
WE NEEDED TO FIND THE RIGHT COMPROMISE BETWEEN THE CLIENTS’ EXPECTATIONS AND THE POTENTIAL CANDIDATES. THIS IS WHERE OUR PERSONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT TOOLS MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. THEY NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND WHICH OF THE CANDIDATES WOULD FIT WELL WITHIN THE CULTURE. IT WAS ALL ABOUT ADAPTATION, MOVING A MANAGER COMING FROM A STRUCTURED, MULTINATIONAL ORGANISATION INTO A FLEXIBLE, ENTREPRENEURIAL CONTEXT.
THE CHALLENGE? THE COMPANY WAS CONTINUOUSLY SCRAMBLING TO FIND PEOPLE FOR THE ORGANISATION WHO COULD SUPPORT MANY DIFFERENT POINTS OF VIEW AND ACCOMPLISH WHAT A MANAGEMENT TEAM SHOULD SET OUT TO DO. THEY SORELY NEEDED THE SERVICES OF A CONSULTANCY THAT COULD GET IN, DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, AND PROVIDE THEM WITH THE FACT- AND SCIENCE-BASED ANALYSIS THAT MADE A DIFFERENCE IN THE HIRING PROCESS.
TO FIND THE RIGHT CANDIDATE, WE DID A DEEP DIVE INTO THE ORGANISATION. WE ASKED ALL QUESTIONS NEEDED TO FIND THE RIGHT FIT AND BROUGHT IN PROPRIETARY TOOLS TO HELP PROVIDE THE STRUCTURED DATA TO MAP THE MARKET.
THE NEED WAS FOR A CANDIDATE WITH STRONG CAPACITY FOR GROWTH AND FLEXIBILITY, ALONG WITH THE ABILITY TO MOTIVATE PEOPLE AND CREATE GOOD TEAMWORK, BUT AT THE SAME TIME RESPECTFUL OF THE OWNER’S WISHES. ALONG WITH THESE INDICATOR ELEMENTS, WE LOOKED AT EACH CANDIDATE’S PROFESSIONAL TRACK RECORD.
