Lena Hørlyk Petersen is based in Beijing and supports Mercuri Urval clients on assessment, coaching and development programs in China. She also supports clients where cross-cultural understanding is key to enhance performance and succeed with their businesses, and has a track record of training and coaching European and Chinese leaders to navigate in cross-cultural environments. She has conducted Leadership Development Programs and Business Coaching.
Lena has worked in China since 2008, managing internal communications for a global player within the wind industry, she has been making assessments for talent acquisition & talent development and training clients in using these assessments to support their business, working for a local management consulting company. In recent years, she has conducted leadership development programs and cross-cultural trainings for European clients and has coached business leaders.
Prior to coming to China, Lena has more than 20 years of corporate experience across the company value chain, in industries of Tech/IT, Internet and renewable energy, giving her a solid understanding of corporate business and leadership challenges.
With her experience in the international business environment, Lena acts as a sparring partner and coach to senior business leaders, both Europeans working in China and Chinese with international background.
Lena has a B.A. in International Business Communication and has studied Chinese at BLCU in Beijing. She is fluent in English, Danish and understands some Chinese and German.
