Axel Held is a Senior Consultant in the Hamburg office. He is a member of our global Energy Practice, focusing on Executive Search and Professional Recruitment.
He has international experience across various industry sectors with a particular focus on oil & gas, energy utilities and related EPC-companies. He also serves clients in the defense and shipping industry.
Prior to joining Mercuri Urval, Axel worked as a global Energy Practice Director for a top-tier strategy consulting firm and served as a Key Account Manager for a large oil & gas super-major. He started his career in the German Navy, where he served as a Technical Officer and Project Engineer.
Axel holds a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Helmut-Schmidt-University in Hamburg. He has worked in various countries in Europe and the U.S. and is fluent in German and English.
